This extremely rare matching numbers 1966 Ford Mustang convertible V8 in emberglo metallic is an absolute find.
Only 5% of the production coming out of the Dearborn Milwaukee plant in 66 are known to be made in this colour scheme.
This is counting Fastbacks, Coupes & convertibles together.
This makes this V8 Convertible highly collectible.
It is not exactly known how much there are still around, but we have only seen one emberglo coupe on the European market before. This example was well cared for during its life, but she still needed some work upon arrival in Europe.
After a serious physical check, we decided to carry out an almost full restoration.
The whole undercarriage was renewed including the brake systems and shocks.
The 289 V8 Engine & the automatic gearbox shifts received a full revision. The car was fully repainted in its original emberglo metallic paint. We fully reupholstered the very rare two tone emberglo vinyl and parchment vinyl crinkle PONY interior to its originall glory. The white soft top was renewed and now closes nicely. Since the car was now technically and optically in great condition the car passed Dutch technical inspection without problems.
This rare emberglo now has a Dutch registration which makes it easy to register in any EU country.
